Voronezh
The city of Voronezh was founded in 1586 as a fortress to
defend the Southern boundaries of Moscow State. Tsar Peter the First
chose that city for building the first Russian Navy.

Voronezh is situated in the European Part of Russia, 500
km to the south of the capital, the city of Moscow, in the temperate continental
climate zone. It is a large industrial and cultural center with the
population of more than 1 million people. Dozens of factories and plants
of heavy and light industry are functioning in the city. There is a great
number of museums, theatres, libraries, and exhibit halls.

Voronezh is a city of science, the students’ city.
International standard of higher education is provided by more than 30
state and commercial higher educational institutions. It is an
acknowledged educational center of international students training. For
the last 35 years in Voronezh higher educational institutions nearly 14
thousand foreign students from 89 countries of the World got education:
they are from India, Great Britain, Germany, Syria, China, Algeria,
Morocco, Vietnam etc.

Voronezh has the network of telecommunication,
including satellite communication, e-mail, cellular telecommunication,
and computer network communication. There is an international mail
service, regular transport communication with Moscow, St. Petersburg and
other cities of Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States. The
Voronezh airport got an international status, two large railway stations
are situated there as well as a number of bus stations.
Voronezh is a beautiful, clean and quiet city. It is
nice to live, to work, and to study there.
